Our client is a distributor of high-quality food ingredients, beverage ingredients, dairy ingredients, nutraceutical ingredients and everything in between. The company is family owned and operated and serves national local and regional manufacturers, with more than 6,000 customers spanning the full food industry spectrum.

With over 6,000 customers world wide, the company's order process was being handled entirely manually, causing a breakdown in efficiencies among the many tiers of customers. It was also costing them a large amount of potential revenue and savings in resources if the process could be improved.

Solution: Customized and Fully Integrated e-Commerce Platform

Dunn Solutions was selected to develop the companies first e-commerce platform built leveraging the SAP hybris e-commerce platform. Our client had very specific needs as their own clients all had custom contracts, pricing, and products available to them. It was also important that an extensive workflow approval process be included so that larger orders may be approved by client management before being submitted. Key B2B features developed in this platform to help the company achieve its goals include online quote negotiation, individualized company pricing, and integrated self-service management. Our SAP hybris certified experts also developed custom solutions to allow the marketing team to have a robust CMS system in order to make changes to products, prices, and promotions without needing help from IT.

Result: e-Commerce Solutions Allows for a Fully Automated Sales Process

Our custom solution allows our client to better serve its varying levels of customers with e-commerce capability thus freeing up the sales and customer service teams to better serve their client base. Enabling self-service for lower level strategic customers reduced transactions costs for the organization and allowed more resources to be allocated to mid and high-level strategic customers. This development and these e-commerce initiatives generated additional significant revenue growth in all customer segments and brings the company into the new generation of significant growth.
